Elizabeth is the National Knowledge Leader for our Canadian SR&ED and Business Tax Incentives practice with over 25 years of experience in the field of government incentives. At EY, her responsibilities include: supporting clients in identifying relevant incentives; assisting with the applications for a wide range of programs; conducting industry specific team training; quality review of technical submissions; government agency liaison; and audit support.  Elizabeth also helps companies develop their internal project tracking procedures to streamline the process of identifying and documenting eligible projects and expenditures.

Prior to joining EY in 2004, Elizabeth spent eight years in the SR&ED division at the Canada Revenue Agency, training and managing technical reviewers and policy development.  She maintains strong working relationships with the CRA and is regularly asked to co-present with the CRA at various conferences and to provide input on new policies as they are being developed.

Elizabeth is also the Canadian coordinator of EY’s Global Centre for Science and Engineering Excellence. This centre comprises

over 150 scientists and engineers who specialize in R&D and other incentives globally. 

Elizabeth holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. from the University of Guelph. Prior to her work in the world of credits and incentives, she conducted research in both the private and public sectors in the fields of environmental and agricultural sciences.

She is committed to exceptional client service.  In her spare time, Elizabeth loves to travel and particularly enjoys wilderness adventures in her canoe.
