S J Woodward and C P Dempster of Ernst & Young LLP were appointed Joint Administrators of the Group on 22 November 2016. The appointments were made by the Group’s Directors under the provisions of paragraph 22(2) of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986.
Immediately following the appointment, the following assets of the Group were sold to Ashtead Plant Hire Company Limited (‘A-Plant’):
All access and power generation assets;
The business and assets of Interlift Limited; and
The business and certain assets of the Group’s on-site operations at Stanlow, Immingham, Hull, Grangemouth and Wilton.
Customers currently renting assets that have transferred to A-Plant will shortly be contacted by A-Plant to confirm the terms of ongoing supply. Any customers who have contracts that have been transferred to A-Plant, and have queries in this regard, should contact A-Plant directly on 01543 364121 or customerexperience@aplant.com.

S J Woodward is licensed in the United Kingdom to act as an insolvency practitioner by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and C P Dempster is licensed in the United Kingdom to act as an insolvency practitioner by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. As Insolvency Practitioners, they are bound by the Insolvency Code of Ethics in carrying out all professional work relating to the appointment.
The affairs, business and property of the Group are being managed by the Joint Administrators, S J Woodward and C P Dempster, who act as agents of the Group only and without personal liability.
We may collect, use, transfer, store or otherwise process (collectively, ‘Process’) information that can be linked to specific individuals (‘Personal Data’). We may Process Personal Data in various jurisdictions in accordance with applicable law and professional regulations including (without limitation) the Data Protection Act 1998.
This policy applies to all work carried out under the provisions of the Insolvency Act 1986 or the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 (insolvency work).
Should you be dissatisfied with the insolvency work of a duly appointed insolvency practitioner or with the conduct of others carrying out such work on that person’s behalf, please direct your complaint to the relevant appointed insolvency practitioner(s) in the first instance.
It is endeavoured that complaints will be acknowledged within five business days of receipt and that acknowledgement will contain an estimated timeframe in which you can expect a response to your complaint.
In the event that your complaint cannot be resolved by the appointed insolvency practitioner(s), please write to Jo Robinson, UK EY-Parthenon Turnaround and Restructuring Leader.
