Derek joined EY UK&I in 1994 and is an Associate Partner within the EY-Parthenon Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy practice. He assists clients to achieve efficient recycling of capital from corporate entities, working closely with tax advisors to deliver the right outcome in a controlled and forecast manner. His measured approach helps to solve the most complex challenges, ensuring that all stakeholders understand how to preserve value in financial and operational restructurings.
Derek is a Board member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and has a degree in Laser Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and a post graduate in Medical Physics from Queen’s University Belfast.
How Derek is building a better working world
Derek’s work has consistently allowed investors and businesses to recycle and reapply legacy capital efficiently. When Derek is appointed as liquidator in a solvent liquidation he is able to efficiently distribute capital back to investors, prior to each entity’s dissolution. Each year, Derek and his team help clients eliminate and recover capital from over 400 entities delivering a predicted outcome in a cost-effective manner.
