Maheshi has over 15 years of experience in tax and a focus on the Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction sector.

Maheshi has extensive transactional and advisory experience on all aspects of the investment lifecycle. She works predominantly with private equity funds, institutional investors and large property investors.

Maheshi has been involved with trade associations and government department working groups and has also written for the UK press about key aspects of real estate taxation.

Prior to joining the EY organisation, Maheshi spent several years in a law firm where she gained experience in direct and indirect tax issues relating to a variety of transaction types.

Maheshi studied Law at the London School of Economics and is a qualified solicitor.

She is also a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Maheshi has been involved with trade bodies and working groups on various policy discussions, including the Residential Property Developer Tax and potential tax initiatives for sustainable real estate.

She participates in various mentoring schemes and is also involved with the EY Foundation and its social mobility initiative in the real estate sector, in order to utilise her experience for the benefit of the next generation.
