In the face of growing competition and customer expectations, retailers and consumer products companies must look to the future to find inspiration to rethink growth strategies today.

Richard Taylor

Oceania, Consumer Leader, EY

Constantly looking to join the dots, challenge inertia, make the right connections and drive energy to help businesses and people thrive. D&I advocate. Father to Millicent. Husband to Christina.

Richard currently leads EY approach to the Consumer Products & Retail (CPR) industries across EY Oceania. From food manufacturing to fashion retail, he is responsible for exploring how EY teams can help CPR industries find new paths to growth, as a more crowded and competitive market develops. As many organizations find previously held assumptions to be outdated, he helps clients look to the future and back, rather than incrementally forward, when developing strategy. Most recently, Richard is working with many consumer products companies, helping them improve operational excellence, help implement new technology, and realign portfolios and operating models, all to help free-up funds to invest in connecting with their consumers.

How Richard is building a better working world

"I proudly run the Oceania Women’s Network (OWN) CPR. An Australia-wide networking series, OWN CPR is supported and guided by an advisory board of senior women from some of the world’s most recognized brands. It’s focused on driving higher business growth, improved innovation, increased prosperity and stronger communities."
