Australian Private Equity Quarterly Update – Q2 2026

In Q2 2026, Australia’s share of APAC PE deal value declined, signalling a subdued Q2. While there were fewer deals overall, capital continued to flow into large, high-conviction assets.

Domestic sponsors drove deal activity, while international investors concentrated on larger transactions amid market uncertainty. And, despite softer fundraising conditions, there are signs of improving exit momentum and increasing investor interest in Australia’s private debt market.
