Commercial & Procurement
Our Commercial & Procurement teams help our clients to address global market changes and risk by recalibrating third-party relationships. From helping public sector clients build new supply chains in response to the changing needs of their customers, to navigating local and global private sector clients through disruption in their markets.
Our teams provide solutions to competitive pricing, managing contractual requirements more efficieintly, optimising performance against budgets and suppliers, gaining more visibility and control over third-party suppliers, and driving sustainability and innovation into the supply chain.
As a member of the team, you'll help clients to achieve value for money from the services and products they purchase to enable them to invest in future business transformation programmes.
What will you be doing?
- Building strong working relationships with clients to fully understand their business requirements
- Supporting senior team members to produce client deliverables on time
- Contributing to business development and client research opportunities
- Building and utilising commercial expertise gained through a defined learning and development programme and on-the-job training
Are you eligible to apply?
You’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent, and an honours degree (in any subject) by the time the programme starts.

Business skills training
You'll have access to training and development resources to develop your consulting and technical skills including our EY Badges Programme which offers structured learning leading to accreditations in areas such as supply chain and operations, data visualisation and sector specific badges. You'll also have the opportunity to complete an external accreditation with World Commerce and Contracting.

How’s it structured?
After an EY induction, you’ll join your team and jump straight into work on real client projects.
You'll work on business development opportunities, draft proposals, deliver projects, manipulate and configure data as part of the commercial analysis process, analyse and review supplier contracts, develop and update dashboards using data visualisation tools, identify and negotiate from savings opportunities, create and deliver presentations that capture key findings and provide high quality deliverables to clients whilst developing a huge mix of business and people skills.
Throughout the programme, you'll have access to training and development resources as well as support from colleagues within your team. Since no two projects will be the same, we’ll coach and mentor you in a way that will prepare you for anything.
If you do a great job, you could be promoted to Senior Consultant by the end of the programme.
