    Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS)

    Our world is transforming at record speeds and never before has addressing sustainability issues been so critical. Start your journey as a changemaker, understand more about the key issues behind climate change, decarbonization, sustainability and join us to promote positive change.

    UK & Ireland (UK&I) - Our UK&I team works with corporate and public sector clients, equipping them with the strategies, tools and solutions needed to make sustainable choices and create long-term value, not just for their own business, but for the benefit of our planet and society.

    Financial Services Organisation (FSO) - At CCaSS FSO, we offer a wide range of services to help financial sector clients across Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, and Private Equity to measure their environmental and social impact, assess exposure to ESG risks, and develop strategies to align finance flows to facilitate the net zero transition. The work we do with our clients focuses on areas including decarbonization, stewardship, nature & biodiversity and ESG reporting and assurance, providing solutions and strategies to enable our clients to create long-term value.

    Technology in CCaSS

    We support the build and deployment of leading technology products and innovations, teaming with our partners to reimagine sustainability solutions across industries, and in doing so protect our planet and our communities.

    Whether we are using technology to help clients model and manage risk, or support them on their net-zero journey by visualising performance data, we adopt an innovative, “digital-first” mindset. 

    What will you be doing?

    • Building your understanding of the impact of key issues for business relating to climate change and sustainability, and applying your knowledge every day
    • Contributing to a wide range of real projects with real impact, helping clients become more sustainable, which could include ESG assurance to climate change advisory, and from human rights to circular economy
    • Working with colleagues across different service lines to deliver multi-disciplinary and cross-geographical work
    • Developing core skills in business writing, effective time management, client service and personal brand through on-the-job learning, self-directed learning and presentation opportunities
    • Are you eligible to apply?

      We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will however need to be working towards an honours degree related to Environmental Science/ Climate Science/ Engineering, Geography/ Geology, Energy, Sustainability/ Sustainable Development, Sustainable Finance/ Economics, or similar. You'll also have a minimum of grade 4/ C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths and three A-levels/ Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.

      You’ll also need an eagerness to learn, a strong understanding of sustainability principles and the impact they can have on the world, great communication skills, commercial acumen, a passion for data, an openness to travel, and a strong, proactive determination that will inspire you to be a force for good.

      Eligibility for Visa Sponsorship: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship from EY. Please note, Graduate visas are not eligible as right to work for this vacancy as this role will not meet the Skilled Worker salary threshold before the Graduate visa expires.

    Business skills training

    You’ll have access to all the learning EY has to offer. This includes our EY Badges programme, virtual, live instructor-led classes, live classroom sessions, curated and snackable content and master classes. The range of content is vast and includes courses on analytics, emerging technology and IT, as well as marketing, leadership and personal wellbeing.

    How’s it structured?

    A Graduate Programme at EY allows you to develop and acquire new skills as well as gain valuable insights into EY's Sustainability services.

    After kicking things off with an EY induction and meeting all the other EY CCaSS Graduates, you’ll join a team and start working on real client projects. Your colleagues will also provide on-the-job coaching and are there to help, so ask lots of questions (curiosity is an important trait in a CCaSS advisor).
