Strategy and Transactions help organisations do all that while making more informed decisions and building better strategies. In Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy (TRS), we advise organisations and other affected parties when they are underperforming or in distress, on the best course of action. Through independent analysis, we help them either get back on track or go through insolvency procedures like administration or receivership.

How’s it structured?
Be completely immersed in the world of work at EY. After a company induction, you’ll develop an understanding of TRS and will soon be ready to work alongside graduates on real client projects.
In UK & Ireland we work in project teams on a diverse range of engagements to help companies, creditors and other stakeholders that are facing financial challenges across the whole economic cycle - whether they are buying or selling a distressed asset, restructuring a business or organisation, dealing with underperformance, advising or implementing turnaround options or looking to improve cash management. We also manage companies that are involved in the insolvency processes and advise clients on the options open to them by performing financial analysis and presenting findings to the client. During your internship you will be given an introduction to all of these aspects of Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy engagements and will join project teams to support the delivery of our engagements.
In Financial Services, you’ll work as part of project teams, assisting in the delivery of complex client assignments in the field of operational improvement and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) management, buy-side acquisition, and sell-side disposal work. You’ll be performing analysis of distressed and non-core loan portfolios in addition to reviewing the operational and business models of European lenders. You’ll also have a chance to get involved in thought leadership, project management and the preparing of transaction material, valuation analysis and client communications. You’ll also be part of the team involved in leading the day-to-day work on buy-side due diligence engagements of loan books and servicers.
