Here are some top tips to help you through the application process:

• You’ll need a working webcam and a microphone on your computer or laptop.
• Have access to broadband or high-speed internet.
• Install the latest version of Chrome for your browser.
• Be comfortable in your surroundings – use a quiet, private location with no distractions with good lighting so your face can be clearly seen on camera.
• Dress appropriately – we recommend smart casual. For the recorded video answers, don’t worry you’ll get a practice round.
• For the EY Experience Day, do not use a mobile phone and have access to a calculator and a notepad/pen.
• Think about your motivations, research into your chosen business area and put some thought into why EY.
• Finally, remember to smile and bring your authentic self. Our teams will help you through the process and settle any nerves you may have.
   

This programme has a four-stage application process.

Stage one: Application form
After you’ve created your account, you’ll need to choose your programme and preferred location to work. You can only apply to one programme within a three-month period so do some research and choose the role right for you. During this stage, you will need to enter your personal details so we can learn more about you. It’s important to read all instructions carefully and provide all the details of your qualifications. Don’t forget to proofread your answers before submitting them and ensure you remember your login details as you’ll need to access the portal throughout the process.

Stage two: Online assessments
These immersive assessments that have been specially designed for you so you can demonstrate your potential for the programme you have applied to. They will involve a selection of rank order, written and recorded video answers, and, where applicable to your programme, a time-recorded Numeric Reasoning Test. You’ll receive full instructions by email and in your candidate account area about the structure of the assessment and whether it needs to be completed in one sitting, including access to practice tests – so make sure you take the opportunity to use these.

Stage three: EY Experience Day
In this in-person assessment event, you’ll take part in a range of activities and exercises where you’ll be required to use a webcam facility to interact with your assessor. The event is designed to see if you have the strengths needed for your role at EY but it’s also a chance to see if EY is right for you. We’ll send you all the details and guidance needed closer to the day.

Stage four: Final interview
This is your opportunity to share your strengths and motivations for the role you’ve applied for with a senior member of the team. It is also your chance to ask any questions you have about the programme and business area you’ve applied to. If your selection process involves this stage, you’ll receive instructions and guidance from us to help you be at your best.

As a part of your application, you will be asked a few questions about your experiences and aptitudes. Here are a few questions to help guide you in presenting the full picture of your capabilities:

• How have you done on your undergraduate or graduate course?
• Where in your academic or extra curriculars have you engaged with problem solving?
• What additional information can you provide us on your academic performance?
• Have you won any academic prizes? Been part of a team which has solved a problem?
• Have you ever played on a sports team or part of a cast in a play?
• Have you ever volunteered with a group of people or worked with a team in a lab?
• Have you ever worked with a team on a project for your module?
• Do you have any experience working in a team outside of the school environment, such as a part-time or full-time job?
• Have you held a leadership position in an organisation?
• Have you been involved in a society/sports team/drama/arts/research/activity for a sustained period of time?
• Do you speak any languages fluently?
• Have you done a summer internship, research project, volunteered?
• Have you read and understood the description for your chosen programme?
• Can you demonstrate any relevant skills that will make you a great match for your chosen programme?

Once you have completed the application form and all online assessments, you will then be automatically moved to a holding stage whilst we wait for the application closing date to pass so we can review all applications together. 

The application closing dates: 

Full-time roles - Thursday 30 October

Summer roles - Tuesday 6 January 2026

All applications will be reviewed after the closing date and not on a rolling basis.

Stage three: Interview process
Candidates who are successfully selected for interview will then go through to the first stage of interviews. At this point you will be matched with a mentor from the business who will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice. They will share a preparation pack with you which includes some example case studies for you to practise with, as well some top tips for how to prepare for the interviews.

The first round consists of two 25-minute case interviews led by our consultants. These are conducted back-to-back and do not include any biographical questions – so you will focus solely on solving the case at hand. If you are successful in the first round, you will be invited to a final interview round which will include two further slightly longer case interviews and an interview with a member of our senior leadership team where we will explore your experiences, achievements, and perspectives. You will also get the opportunity to meet with your mentor face to face as part of this round.

After the final round of interviews, the recruiting team reconvenes to extend offers to successful candidates. Unsuccessful candidates (both at first and final round stage) will be given the option to receive tailored feedback from one of their interviewers to help guide them in future applications.

Stage four: Offers and start dates
Full-time Associates Consultants will join the graduate programme which starts in September 2026. 

Summer Interns will join for the Summer Internship Programme which runs for eight weeks through July and August 2026, and will join full-time in September 2027 if they successfully receive an offer. Please note that the dates for these programmes are not flexible.
