We work hand-in-hand with our Consulting practice to support our clients through their complex business and Finance transformation journeys. 

    What will you be doing?

    • Learning about Finance Modelling, how the team works with client organisations to understand the data requirements and learning about innovative data solutions.
    • Gaining exposure to EY and networking with colleagues from different levels of the business
    • Building your knowledge of our clients and how we support them
    • Developing core skills in business writing, effective time management, client service and personal brand through structured learning and self-directed learning.
    • You'll be supported by an EY mentor and buddy throughout

      We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. If you’re in your penultimate year at university, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year Master’s degree, or taking a gap year, this internship is for you. We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels (with an A in A-level Maths)/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply. 

      Experience that would be beneficial includes knowledge of programming languages (such as VBA, SQL, Python, R etc.), experience of OLAP technologies (e.g. Oracle, Anaplan) and previous work experience across Financial Services and/or data analytics.

      Candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to flex style to build rapport with team members and clients. They will be able to interrogate and understand complex business data requirements to build analytical models that will deliver relevant insights. In addition, an understanding of financial principles, strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality products are important to being successful in the role.

    Programme length

    Four-week internship. Please note: Due to UK policies, you must be based in the UK for the entire duration of the programme.

    How’s it structured?

    After kicking things off with an EY induction, you’ll join a team and start working on real client projects – just like our graduates.

    A Summer Internship at EY allows you to develop and acquire new skills, gain valuable insight into Consulting and be supported by team members and more senior colleagues. Through shadowing senior leaders within the business, you'll gain an in-depth insight into working in a global professional services firm.

    If you do a great job, you could be offered a place on the Finance Modelling graduate programme to come back to when you finish university.
