Delivering impact on a global scale

At EY, our global network empowers our tech consultants to collaborate across borders, share knowledge and deliver innovative solutions for clients around the world. To understand how our global scale shapes careers and client outcomes, we asked Anusha, a senior manager in our Data Management and Strategy team, to share her story with us.

About me

I work as a consultant and lead on the Data Risk Proposition for financial services, specifically in the banking industry, where I lead complex data risk transformation projects to meet regulatory demands or internal policy requirements.

I collaborate with teams across borders and together, we horizon scan, develop data risk accelerators to solve client problems, and champion the use of technology to automate complex tasks to meet regulatory requirements.

Outside of work I am a mother to a lovely three-year-old, and we love painting together!

Working on interesting projects

Early in my career at EY, I was given the opportunity to work on a high-profile project that required a deep understanding of emerging technologies and innovative problem-solving skills. Through our extensive training programmes and access to talented EY people around the globe, I was able to quickly upskill and gain the knowledge needed to excel in this project.

Additionally, the mentorship and support I received from senior colleagues during this project was invaluable, providing me with guidance and confidence to take on new challenges. The commitment to my professional growth and development at EY, has truly been instrumental in my career development.

Developing in my role

One of the ways I’ve been able to grow in my role is through continuous learning opportunities at EY, including training programmes and access to a global network of peers. It has enabled me to stay ahead of industry trends and apply innovative methodologies to client engagements. This combined with a dynamic and supportive environment that encourages both personal and professional development have enhanced my technical skills.

My proudest moment

One of my proudest moments at EY, is my involvement in the mentorship programme. I have had the privilege of mentoring several junior colleagues, helping them navigate their career paths, develop their skills and build their confidence. By sharing my experiences and insights, I have been able to provide guidance from both a professional and personal perspective, fostering their growth and development. Seeing the positive impact of my efforts on my colleagues' careers and personal growth is incredibly rewarding.
