EY announces acquisition of SAP consulting business

EY has today announced the acquisition of AgilityWorks, a technology consultancy business.

Headquartered in Oxford, UK, AgilityWorks, with its operations in UK, Portugal and India, helps global organisations to shape and deliver digital business transformations with the latest generation of SAP technology.

The company is a leader in the deployment of HANA based SAP technology and has been through a sustained period of growth in line with the adoption of the S/4HANA suite. The AgilityWorks team will join with the EY UK&I SAP practice and operate as EY AgilityWorks.

Stuart Orr, EY UK&I Advisory Managing Partner says: “The acquisition of AgilityWorks will expand our capabilities and accelerate the growth of our technology consulting services.

“Our newly formed ‘EY AgilityWorks’ team will also help us to support clients adopt and utilise the new SAP platform – S/4 HANA – to transform their businesses. The acquisition will enable us to provide our clients with a modern SAP service model and meet the growing demand for advice we are seeing in this area.”

Alan Hunt, previously Managing Director of AgilityWorks, will lead the new team, which will form part of EY UK and Ireland Advisory. Alan says, “We will be bringing together AgilityWorks’ SAP technology expertise with EY’s business transformation capabilities and industry knowledge.

“Working together will allow us to deliver rapid outcomes for our clients, working in an agile and collaborative way. Our approach will remove complexity and provide clients with a flexible digital platform upon which to develop and innovate further.”
