To build resilience, you need to first understand what harm could arise if your core services are disrupted. It’s important to consider your full range of functions and the interplay between them.

Jack Armstrong

Partner, Financial Services, Ernst & Young LLP; EY UK Operational Resilience Leader

Lover of all things operational resilience related. Instigator of global resilience regulations. Proud (and tired) father of four.

Prior to this, he led the operational resilience strategy team at a globally recognised regulator in the UK, being responsible for the technical input into the UK operational resilience regulations.

How Jack is building a better working world

Jack is helping to build a better working world by supporting leading financial services organisations to improve their operational resilience.

He has led a number of engagements for global systemically important banks, helping them to understand their important business services and bring together their different resilience disciplines to improve their ability to prevent, detect, respond and recover from disruptions.

Building a more resilient financial system will provide better outcomes for everyone in society, such as maintaining access to cash, and the global payments system.
