Programme overview

Technology is at the heart of most modern organisations. As well as opening a world of opportunities, technology exposes organisations to a variety of risks. Our Digital Risk teams combine digital know-how with advanced technology to help clients understand and transform their businesses. Our experience helps clients grow, manage, protect and, when necessary, transform their businesses. Together, we shape entire industries by applying the right technological solutions to real-world problems. Your diversity of thought will only strengthen our work within this incredibly varied business area.

We have several work streams for you to experience which help EY clients on matters including assessing technology risks, software licensing issues, contract/third party risks, but also improving their processes/governance policies and establishing future-focused strategies. Across all the work streams, you will be given the opportunity as you grow in your career to lead meetings, identify issues and propose solutions. You will work with, and get to know, senior stakeholders at EY clients up to board level.

What will you be doing?

  • Gaining a broad understanding of the IT landscape of some of our biggest clients, including their approach to cybersecurity, data protection, resiliency and software asset management.

  • Assessing complex projects to spot risks and make recommendations.

  • Analysing data, communicating with clients and presenting your work.

  • Understanding the risks associated with emerging technologies, including cloud adoption, the use of Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation.

  • You’ll also be expected to be flexible and may spend large proportions of your time away from the office, either working from home/anywhere or on client site as part of our hybrid working model.

Removing barriers

We’re proud of our heritage on driving diversity and social mobility across the professional services industry, and in 2016, we removed the requirement to have minimum UCAS points or a degree classification to make an application to EY. We are passionate about giving candidates a fair and consistent recruitment process and are proud of our long-standing partnership with RARE who help us assess applications using contextual recruitment. And, whilst some academic qualifications will still be considered (check programme information for more details), it’s no longer a barrier. We also firmly believe that every candidate should have the opportunity to demonstrate their potential in our selection process which is why we use our leading EY Strengths Framework that focuses on your individual strengths.

EY recognises that it has clear obligations towards all its people and the community at large to ensure that partners, our people, and job applicants are afforded equal opportunities to enter employment and progress within the firm. As an employer committed to establishing an inclusive environment free from unlawful discrimination, the firm promotes the fair treatment of staff members and job applicants regardless of their sex, gender identity, marital or civil partnership status, race, ethnic or national origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation, age or pregnancy/maternity status.

Adjustments

All candidates should be given the opportunity to be their best selves throughout the process. We have adjustments in place to make all individual applications accessible.
