Your professional qualification journey

Joining on an EY apprenticeship or graduate programme means you will have lots of opportunities for professional development.

Depending on the programme you join, you will take on a different professional qualification that aligns to the skills, capabilities and activity within that programme and business area. You'll gain the experiences, skills and training to shape your future with confidence, in a supportive and inclusive culture.

Whether you join Assurance, Consulting, EY-Parthenon or Tax, you'll gain valuable, on-the-job experience, work with local and global companies and gain a professional qualification. And, with a dedicated Student Experience team to support you every step of the way, you'll have access to the highest quality training which is closely governed through our Quality Assurance Framework.

Depending on the programme, you’ll receive an accredited qualification through one of our training providers. For Audit, Tax and EY-Parthenon, you’ll receive a government accredited and industry-recognised Level 7 Apprenticeship in accountancy and taxation (equivalent to a master’s degree).
20% of your time to spend on off-the-job learning, allowing you to focus on developing the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours chosen by industry leaders, to help you build a strong career.

Alongside a professional qualification, your programme will include technical and non-technical internal learning, coaching, work-shadowing and many other integrated experiences to support your development.

The Student Experience team ensures your time on the programme is as smooth and enriching as possible. They book exams and courses, monitor your progress and serve as an intermediary between you, the tuition providers and the institutes.
You’ll have a dedicated apprenticeship coach who will provide advice, targeted development opportunities specific to your needs, pastoral care support and regular check-ins on your wellbeing.
A large support network including a supportive team, career counsellor and buddy, as well as dedicated time off to attend college and sit exams.
College resources include study materials, e-learning modules, tuition classes, tutor support, study groups, webinars, flashcards, and mobile apps.
Tracked progression across your apprenticeship or qualification, allowing you to see how you are developing against the apprenticeship standard and what’s coming next.
After a full induction when you join, you'll get the opportunity to meet your team, career counsellor, buddy and your dedicated apprentice coach - so you'll have a large support network around you to help you to settle in and throughout the programme.
You'll begin to study towards your professional qualification, attend college with your peers and spend time working with your team on client activities and projects. Your support network will ensure you're balancing work and study, allowing dedicated time for learning.
Your learning pathway is designed to build your knowledge as your skills and experiences grow whilst being supported throughout the programme.

EY Apprenticeships rated outstanding by Ofsted

We’re proud to have achieved an Ofsted rating of Outstanding in 2024 across all aspects of our delivery of the Level 7 Accountancy and Taxation Apprenticeship in England. All our apprentices that work within Assurance, Financial Restrucuring, and Tax, experience the same level of training to support them in becoming a Chartered Accountant within an environment that fosters development and wellbeing.
