Joining on an EY apprenticeship or graduate programme means you will have lots of opportunities for professional development.

Depending on the programme you join, you will take on a different professional qualification that aligns to the skills, capabilities and activity required within your programme and business area. You'll gain the experiences, skills and training to shape your future with confidence, in a supportive and inclusive culture.

Whether you join Assurance, Consulting, EY-Parthenon or Tax, you'll gain valuable, on-the-job experience, working with local and global companies. With our dedicated Student Experience team to support you every step of the way, you'll have access to the highest quality training which is closely governed through our Quality Assurance Framework.

Your professional qualification studies will be delivered by an EY tuition provider, and upon completion of your programme you will achieve a professional qualification awarded by a recognised industry body.
For those of you based in England, studying to become a Chartered Accountant, you will also receive a government accredited and industry-recognised Level 7 Apprenticeship in accountancy and taxation (equivalent to a master’s degree). 
You’ll have dedicated time to spend on off-the-job learning, allowing you to focus on developing the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours chosen by industry leaders, to help you build a strong career.
Alongside a professional qualification, your programme will include technical and non-technical internal learning, coaching, work-shadowing and many other integrated experiences to support your development.

The Student Experience Team guides you throughout your programme at EY, ensuring your time is structured, supported and successful. We help you navigate through your professional qualification or apprenticeship, working closely with tuition providers and institutes to ensure you receive high quality teaching, clear pathways and the resources you need to progress confidently through your exams. 

Alongside your technical learning, we help you develop the skills, behaviours and experiences you need to thrive in your role. Through classroom training, online learning and on-the-job development, we encourage continuous growth and support your personal development with a dedicated curriculum designed to build confidence, resilience and essential workplace skills. 

Your wellbeing is at the heart of our approach. Exams and early career experiences can be demanding, so we offer pastoral support, safeguarding guidance and access to a wide network including your counsellor, buddy and—if you’re on an apprenticeship—a dedicated Student Coach. From study leave to tailored development conversations, we’re here to make your student experience rewarding, supported and set up for long-term success .
After your induction, you'll get the opportunity to meet your team, career counsellor, buddy and if applicable, your dedicated Student Coach - so you'll have a large support network around you to help you to settle in and thrive throughout the programme.

You'll begin to study towards your professional qualification through a hybrid approach. This could include attending college with your peers, and online and self-study whilst spending time working with your team on client activities and projects. Your support network will provide guidance on how to balance both work and study.

Your learning pathway is designed to build your knowledge as your skills and experiences grow, whilst being supported throughout the programme.

EY Apprenticeships rated outstanding by Ofsted

We’re proud to have achieved an Ofsted rating of Outstanding in 2024 across all aspects of our delivery of the Level 7 Accountancy and Taxation Apprenticeship in England. All our apprentices that work within Assurance, Financial Restrucuring, and Tax, experience the same level of training to support them in becoming a Chartered Accountant within an environment that fosters development and wellbeing.
