This Tax Alert summarizes a recent Notification [1] issued by Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) extending the benefit of Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme for exports made from 1 October 2023 till 30 June 2024.
The existing rates for all the items covered under RoDTEP scheme will be applicable for exports made from 1 October 2023 to 30 June 2024, subject to budgetary framework approved for the scheme.
Comments
The rates of rebate / value cap per unit under RoDTEP scheme is notified in Appendix 4R and it is valid till 30 September 2023. The said rates will now be applicable for exports made till 30 June 2024.
This extension is likely to increase India’s international trade and benefit exporters.
