EY acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Dairy Day, Motilal Oswal Private Equity and other shareholders.
Founded in 2002, Dairy Day is amongst the leading ice-cream brands in India catering to 50,000+ retailers across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. The Company has achieved 30% revenue CAGR over the past decade by manufacturing and selling range of ice creams across general trade, modern trade and online channels.
Kedaara Capital is amongst the largest India focused private equity funds with current AUM of USD 3.6 billion.
We are proud to have advised Dairy Day, Motilal Oswal Private Equity and other shareholders on this landmark transaction. With Kedaara Capital’s investment, Dairy Day will further strengthen its position in the market and continue to provide high-quality products to the consumers. This transaction is amongst the largest PE deals in the F&B space in India. The transaction has also been particularly rewarding as this provided a fantastic exit to Motilal Oswal PE, who came as investor into the Company in a deal again advised by the EY team in 2016.
