Our speakers take you through various provisions impacting overseas investments by residents and corporate houses, overseas structures and other important issues such as round tripping, restructuring of balance sheet and much more.
The Government of India has issued the revised rules and regulations for undertaking Overseas Investments (‘OI’), to bring more clarity and simplification in the process, thus replacing the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of any Foreign Security) Regulations, 2004 (‘FEMA 120’). The revised framework provides a more liberal architecture of self-regulation keeping in mind the evolving business needs in an increasingly integrated global market.
