As India completes 2 years of e-invoicing, it is time to reflect on how the journey has been and what is in store. With continued lowering of applicability thresholds including possible expansion of coverage, what is today approximately 120-130 million e-invoices a month is set to exponentially grow.  India is all set to empanel private Invoice Registration Portals (IRPs), which is a significant milestone in the country’s e-invoicing journey.  

E-invoicing is also witnessing a lot of action globally with several countries poised to implement the same in the coming year. Overall, e-invoicing is poised to emerge as a game changer for businesses.
