- The alliance aims to seamlessly integrate cybersecurity operations and risk management within the enterprise
New Delhi, 20 April 2022: EY today announced it has extended its alliance with CrowdStrike (Nasdaq: CRWD), – a leader in cloud-delivered protection of endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data, to India. The alliance aims to seamlessly integrate cybersecurity operations and risk management within the enterprise.
Given India’s fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape, organizations are grappling to establish robust cyber defence mechanisms that help them decrease their risk exposure. As per EY’s Global Information Security Survey 2021-22, 60% of the Indian enterprises have stated that there has been a rapid increase in cyber-attacks over the last 12 months. While cyber-attacks intensified post COVID-19, investments in security continue to remain low with 41% organizations stating that cybersecurity budgets are not adequate for mitigating the security threats faced since the start of the pandemic.
The EY-CrowdStrike Alliance combines CrowdStrike’s leading-class cybersecurity solutions with leading transformational consulting capabilities and cyber services provided by EY teams. Specifically focused on addressing cyber risk and threat management, cyber incident response and cyber threat intelligence, the collaboration offers broad security services to help clients understand and address cyber threats unique to their businesses, and leverage alliance capabilities to effectively help manage those risks.
Murali Rao, Cybersecurity Leader, EY says:
“Today’s hybrid world has pushed the digital transformation agenda to a great extent, bringing in the need to discover, defend, and secure enterprise assets, in-line and in real-time. Our strategic alliance with CrowdStrike will provide a huge differentiator in the deployment, implementation and management of cutting-edge cloud-native solutions to protect cloud workloads, endpoints, identity, and data. The alliance further enables us to offer enterprises real-time threat intelligence to predict and prevent cyber threats, enhancing our cyber investigation and response services.”
Powered by the CrowdStrike Security Cloud, the CrowdStrike Falcon platform leverages real-time indicators of attack, threat intelligence, evolving adversary tradecraft and enriched telemetry from across the enterprise to deliver hyper-accurate detections, automated protection and remediation, elite threat hunting and prioritized observability of vulnerabilities. Purpose-built in the cloud with a single lightweight- agent architecture, customers benefit from unmatched scalability, superior protection and performance, reduced complexity and immediate time-to-value.
Overall, businesses can benefit from reduced risk of a significant cyber event and enhanced compliance with cyber risk mandates, while also enjoying increased confidence in understanding the cyber threat landscape and how to communicate risk details to key stakeholders. In addition, increased awareness helps teams to align budgets and resources so they can manage risk accordingly.
“Growing our partnership with EY to India is a further demonstration of what we see as a holistic approach, providing the cyber capabilities needed by our clients for simplicity, speed and efficacy in navigating a complex threat landscape,” said Girish Gargeshwari, Channel Director Asia at CrowdStrike. “This alliance combines our expertise and industry leading solutions to tackle the most sophisticated cyber threats, requiring a mix of automation and human expertise.”
