The opportunity

The EY Malta Assurance Department specialises in delivering high quality and efficient audit and advisory services to a portfolio of clients, understanding the enterprise-wide view of business risk and how this risk can be effectively managed. Monitor the assurance team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed;
Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Generate new audit business opportunities;

Key Requirements:

Masters in Accounts, ACA/CA/ACCA or an equivalent international qualification;
Minimum of 4 years’ experience at audit manager level;

Proven project management skills;

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

FAIT and Quality – Technology Assurance

Plan and perform IT-related external and internal audit and attestation procedures for private and public companies in support of financial statement audits and/or as part of the integrated audit, including evaluating IT general control design and operating effectiveness and testing application controls. Key Responsibilities

Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry trends to identify engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
Foster relationships with client personnel to analyse, evaluate, and enhance information systems to develop and improve security at procedural and technology levels.
Assist with cultivating and managing business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.

To qualify for the role, you ideally have

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, (B.Sc.-IT/M.Sc.-IT), MBA in any domain, CA/ACCA.
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT audit, Service Organization Controls Reporting (SOCR - SSAE 16 / ISAE 3402) SOC 1, 2, & 3 Reporting, IT General Controls and IT Automated Controls
Strong experience leading a dynamic IT audit and/or IT security.
Proven track record of leading complex IT audit engagements, IT security assessment, managing client relationships, and delivering impactful recommendations.
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework), regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and industry standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA and knowledge of IT governance standards and frameworks, such as COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
Experience in leading and developing successful teams, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and remaining with in budgets.
A track record of success in business development with an ability to demonstrate how you have leveraged your network to win work.

Qualifications And Experience

Masters in Accounts, ACA/CA/ACCA or an equivalent international qualification.
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience at a Manager level.
Experience in leading, planning, execution and reporting on external audits, particularly within the Insurance sector.
Application of IFRSs
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
A a can-do attitude and IFRS 17 knowledge will be considered an asset

Your key responsibilities

You will be working a selection of clients where you are the assistant VAT controller for the VAT/GST compliance outsourced to EY, including:

Liaise with your international clients and colleagues with respect to VAT compliance matters
Monitoring the quality of the indirect tax data and reports of your clients
Prepare/Review indirect tax returns
Follow up on legislative changes and business changes in order to ensure that the systems and/or processes are updated
Actively participate to the training and coaching session in your development plan to ensure continuous development of your technical knowledge

The Opportunity

As a member of the Corporate and Immigration team you will be assisting with the offering of professional services to local and global clients of the firm. You will work in an integrated manner and collaborate with other EY business units to offer to clients complete service solutions. Key requirements

Qualified accountant in possession of a Masters in Accountancy / Bachelor’s degree with Honours or is fully ACCA qualified

Your key responsibilities 

We are looking for experienced persons dedicated to the insurance industry forming part of our financial services team. The suitable candidate for this role is a compliance professional who is comfortable in working in a fast-paced growth environment and is well-versed in regulatory legislation, guidance and best practices for authorised entities in the insurance sector.

The role involves assisting and advising clients to be compliant with the applicable legislation and also acting as a point of contact between the clients and the Malta Financial Services Authority. You will be expected to keep up-to-date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidance.

As a Manager, you will have a key role in: 

Managing and executing project work 
Driving the development of new business 
Building and maintaining client relationships 
Work with other EY service teams, both locally and globally
Assisting with client proposals and pitches 
Facilitating the client’s process for obtaining or extending their operating Licence
Supporting the Compliance Officer of licenced entities with their duties

Your Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Technology Consultant – Agile Delivery to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Technology Consulting team. You will not only lead Agile delivery teams but also contribute to Agile maturity across client organizations.
