Tashkent, January 27, 2026 – EY is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexey Loza as a Senior Assurance Partner in EY Uzbekistan practice and Energy & Industrials & Leader for the Caucasus and Central Asia Business Unit. This appointment strengthens EY’s regional leadership and underscores the growing strategic importance of the energy and industrial sectors across Central Asia and the Caucasus. It also reaffirms Uzbekistan’s role as a key growth market and demonstrates EY’s long‑term commitment to supporting clients and advancing the transformation of the region’s energy landscape.

Alexey brings more than 30 years of global experience in accounting and finance, with deep expertise in the oil & gas, energy and power & utilities sectors. He has led some of EY’s largest global engagements for multinational energy companies and is recognized for advising on financial reporting, internal controls, and complex accounting matters, including commodities and derivatives. During the last years, Alexey served as Commodities Markets Leader in the US, Energy Leader for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia, and Global Client Service Partner for major energy clients, demonstrating exceptional leadership across multiple markets. He is also a regular speaker and contributor to industry thought leadership and events.

“Uzbekistan’s energy sector has entered a pivotal phase of transformation, positioning the country as a key driver of change in Central Asia. Its abundant natural resources, proactive reforms, and strategically advancing infrastructure create substantial opportunities for integration into global supply chains and for the development of sustainable, future‑ready technologies. In addition to Uzbekistan’s accelerating progress in renewable energy and infrastructure modernization, the mining sector — particularly critical minerals — will play an essential role in meeting global clean‑energy and high‑tech demand. EY remains committed to supporting Uzbekistan’s transition by fostering transparency, strengthening investor confidence, and helping businesses align with international standards as the country solidifies its role as a key contributor to the global energy and resources ecosystem”, - said Alexey Loza.
