Marcel has more than 25 years’ experience within professional services, 10 of which have been outside his home country The Netherlands. As Regional Managing Partner for EY EMEIA Financial Services, Marcel is recognized as a thought leader on audit and Consulting topics. Prior to that, he was Chairman at Ernst & Young Nederland LLP and has held a number of leadership positions. He has extensive knowledge of audit and consulting engagements in the banking industry and spent a number of years in the US, where he broadened his global experience.
Marcel is a certified auditor in The Netherlands and has led major consulting relationships with clients. He earned a master’s degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
