EY Armenia Partner Speaks on Tax Transparency at FinnoWay 2025

The International PLUS-Forum FinnoWay Armenia 2025, one of the largest regional events focused on digitalization, financial technologies and government–industry collaboration, took place in Yerevan on 11–12 November 2025. The forum was hosted at the Meridian Expo Center and brought together senior leaders, policymakers and experts from Armenia and across the CIS.

The forum served as a high-level platform for discussing the future of digital finance, tax transparency, cybersecurity, digital payments, and the modernization of public digital services.

EY Armenia Partner, Head of Tax Practice Kamo Karapetyan, participated as a speaker in the panel dedicated to “Digitalization of Fiscal Processes and Enhancing Tax Transparency”, alongside representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the State Revenue Committee, and leading financial institutions.

As part of the discussion, Mr. Karapetyan highlighted several major points, including:

  • The level of preparedness of Armenian companies for deep digitalization of tax and reporting systems and the key challenges they face.
  • International best practices that Armenia could adopt, particularly in areas such as tax compliance automation, standardized APIs, and integrated accounting–tax platforms.

The two-day agenda focused on digital transformation across financial services, retail, telecommunications and public administration, highlighting Armenia’s growing role as a regional hub for innovation and technology.
