Baku, 13 February 2026 - EY Azerbaijan announced the winner of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year competition at a special gala event held in Baku. Ilyas Ahmadov and Mehri Ahmadova, founders of Berry Blues by We Grow, were named the overall winners of the 2026 program. As the national winners, they will represent Azerbaijan at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year (WEOY) competition in Monaco this May, where they will compete alongside some of the world’s most innovative, resilient, and inspiring entrepreneurs.
This year marks the seventh edition of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program in Azerbaijan. The competition was made possible with the support of ABB as the main sponsor, bp as sponsor and Association of Professional Financial Managers of Azerbaijan (APFM), Finansist magazine, and Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan – AZPROMO as partners of the program.
The winner was selected by an independent panel of judges comprising respected members of the business community. The judges evaluated 19 nominees based on four key criteria: Entrepreneurial Spirit, Purpose, Impact, and Growth.
The gala ceremony brought together senior government officials and prominent business leaders, highlighting the critical role entrepreneurship plays in Azerbaijan’s economic growth and future development.
After a thorough evaluation process, the judges decided to recognize winners in the following nominations:
- Agricultural Development - Mushfig Huseynov, AZSAFFRON
- Best Customer Solutions - Rufat Babakishiyev, Crocusoft
- Energy Transition Solutions - Orkhan Mammadov, Green Life Enginnering
- Environmental impact - Samir Karimov, Apar
- Innovation - Ulvi Aslanov, Code Academy
- Regional Development - Bakhtiyar Huseynov, Eel Electric
- Woman Entrepreneur - Gunay Mustafayeva, MedLife Hospital
Moreover, special recognition for Outstanding Contribution to the EOY Program was presented to the founder of Times Consulting, Elgar Baghirov.
