Until February 2021 Moritz served as Public Industry Leader for a large Auditing and Consulting firm in Switzerland. Moritz was also member of the respective European Public Leadership team.
He was supporting large government clients in their multi-year transformation projects as either steering committee member or external project leader.
Moritz initially started his career in Audit focusing on large publicly traded companies including US SEC/PCAOB clients.
He's an active member of various business and thought leadership organizations, such as the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC), University of St. Gallen Smart Government Lab, civicChallenge.
Throughout his career, Moritz worked and lived in Australia for 5 months and the USA for 3 years.
He holds a BA degree of the University of applied Science in Bern; is a Swiss CPA and attended executive trainings at Cambridge University Judge Business School, UK and Harvard University Kennedy School of Government in the US.
In his role as Managing Partner Consulting and as Industry Leader Infrastructure his focus lies on these activities:
- Being a thought leader and supporting clients, government entities, administrations to be ready to face the challenges of the future like digitalization/rapid technology changes, sustainability, aging population and uncertain economic developments.
- Public Corporate Governance – supporting Governments in strategy, monitoring, and checks & balances for their publicly owned entities like hospitals, public transport, electricity, etc.
- Supporting clients in very large, multi-year transformation projects as key EY Engagement Leader on Steering committee level. Ensuring that the client can reach its transformation goal by providing the right EY experts.
- Public Finance – reviewing and assessing the financial information, scenarios and plans of government entities according to Government accounting standards.
