Areas of focus

James is a Partner in the EY EMEIA Financial Services practice and leads on conduct and compliance and non-financial risk transformation across the region.

He brings extensive experience of working across some of the biggest banks globally, to drive innovation through all areas of risk and compliance; and to help clients navigate the ever more complex regulatory agenda.

James has over 18 years of experience of advising clients within the Financial Services sector across the UK and the European banking industry.

James is a linguist, with a degree in French and Spanish from St Andrews University, and also holds a Diploma from the International Compliance Association (ICA). He is also an Associate of the Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA).

James is passionate about delivering sustainable change across the banking community, supporting clients to continuously improve standards of risk, compliance and conduct. This includes working with banks to review the effectiveness of their regulatory and compliance functions, to ensure they are delivering the best possible outcomes to their customers.
