Jorge is the EY Latam Tax Policy and Controversy Leader. He joined the EY Controversy team in September 2010.
Prior to joining the EY organization, Jorge worked as a tax official for the Mexican Tax Administration Service for 14 years. Some of his responsibilities included being the Central Administrator of International Auditing for the General Administration of Large Taxpayers’ Office, responsible for auditing international operations; was responsible for national and international regulation on international tax; and being a competent authority for exchange of information and Mexico’s tax treaty to avoid double taxation.
Jorge has also worked for the Large Taxpayers International Legal Affairs Administration and in Mexico’s Central Bank.
He has a law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City.
