Sustainability impacts affect us all. Some communities are greatly impacted, while others have a great impact. EY teams work with both.

The Impact Series highlights some of the work that our EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) teams have been doing across the globe and features three episodes, each of them starting in Palau, a Pacific Island nation state. EY CCaSS teams supported the government of Palau with a co-development of their climate strategy that is as innovative as it is essential.

The Palauan people have been on the front line of climate change, experiencing firsthand the impacts of rising sea levels, changing weather patterns, and the resulting threats to their homes and livelihoods. Their resilience and determination in the face of these adversities are truly inspiring, but the extreme weather challenges in the Pacific Island nations represent the unsettling future that the rest of the world might face if it continues business as usual.

Rapid transformation remains entirely possible, particularly if high-emitting businesses — given their significant impact — move faster and more decisively in driving change. Each episode of the Impact Series also features inspiring stories from other EY clients in sectors such as construction, transport and media, demonstrating how their proactive efforts today are helping to shape a more sustainable future.
