- The Free Trade Commission of the Free Trade Agreement between Costa Rica and China has agreed to eliminate customs duties in Costa Rica's Tariff Relief Program for certain tariff items, effective as of 11 May 2023.
- The tariff reduction for the indicated products will be included in the Customs Information System.
The Free Trade Commission of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Republic of Costa Rica and the People's Republic of China agreed to grant Costa Rica's tariff reduction program a 0% import-tariff rate for products of tariff items 2101.20.10 (preparations based on tea extract, in powder form, for industrial processing) and 8516.60.00 (ovens, stoves, grills and roasters).
Therefore, through Circular MH-DGA-CIR-0026--2023, the Directorate General of Customs (DGA) informs the public that this decision will be effective as of 11 May 2023 and that the tariff reduction for the products of the indicated items will be included in the Customs Information System (TICA).
