Ecuador announces new entry visa requirement for Chinese nationals effective 1 July 2024
On 18 June 2024, the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, effective 1 July 2024, Chinese nationals will require an entry visa to enter the country. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on a virtual consulate (i.e., an online portal) for individuals to submit their applications without going to an Ecuadorian consulate or embassy.
