Peru announces new visa requirement for nationals of Mexico

Effective 23 April 2024, nationals of Mexico must obtain a visa prior to entering Peru for business, tourism or to transit through the country. Mexican nationals who seek to enter Peru from this date onward must apply for, and obtain, an entry visa from a Peruvian consulate prior to travel. Applicants must have a passport that is valid for at least 183 days and present other required information and documents (e.g., invitation letter, bank statement), and they may be required to schedule an appointment to appear in person at the consulate.
