Hi, everyone, I am Yugesh Aglawe. I lead the supply chain part of the practice at EY. I also lead EY Asterisk, the firm’s proprietary innovative supply chain planning platform.

Wars, climate change, political instability, unpredictability of demand, increasingly unreliable supply— these are some of the challenges that today's supply chain practitioners and organizations face. At the same time, technology continues to evolve. Over the last decade, we have seen some exciting new technologies emerge such as GPUs with their explosive computational power.

We have seen advanced analytics, classical AI, and now, GenAI —the shining new star on the horizon. While there is a lot of excitement around GenAI, at EY Asterisk, we believe that GenAI alone cannot deliver the kind of benefits you are looking for. You need to combine GenAI with capabilities and powers of classical AI, analytics, and more. These digital capabilities have to be integrated with a clearly defined operating model, increased visibility, and well defined accountability that cascades through an aligned organizational structure.

These are the learnings I wanted to share with you, distilled from some 100 plus supply chain transformation engagements for our clients, where we have taken end-to-end responsibility of defining the org structure, defining processes, and digitizing them with our EY Asterisk platform, and at the same time, driving adoption and delivering business benefits.
