EY has run the Executive Program on Board Effectiveness for the past four years to prepare high-potential women leaders for their role as new or first-time board directors. The program includes sessions that blend real‑world industry experience with research‑based academic learning. With the successful completion of the previous cohorts, EY is now ready to launch the fifth cohort.
Positioning yourself as an effective board memberrequires significant preparation—especially for those who have never served as a director before. This board readiness program is designed to recognize the excellence women bring to the boardroom and further strengthen their capabilities.
The program aims to prepare you to:
Analyze board functions and committees, and understand how they operate
Identify where your expertise fits and the value you can bring to a board
Navigate conflicts, handle biases, influence decisions, negotiate effectively, and voice your values in a boardroom setting
Understand key legal provisions, directors’ roles and responsibilities, and how to manage stakeholders’ expectations
Interpret financial statements and read between the lines
Gain insights into evolving boardroom priorities like AI, cybersecurity, and digital governance
Build relationships and expand your network across a diverse and accomplished peer group
Understand the personal risks associated with board membership and how to mitigate them
