EY strengthens tax leadership team with Director appointment

EY has strengthened its tax leadership team with the appointment of Laura Turpin as Tax Director.

Laura is an ICAS and CTA qualified tax accountant with more than a decade worth of experience in Jersey tax matters. Laura initially joined EY’s Jersey tax team as part of their graduate training programme in 2015, before leaving the firm after qualifying to gain further industry experience.

Laura brings a wealth of experience in Jersey tax compliance and advisory work to her new role. She is particularly well versed with economic substance, Multinational Corporate Income Tax (MCIT) and Jersey’s approach to Pillar 2.

Speaking about her new role, Laura said: “I’m delighted to rejoin EY. I have such fond memories of beginning my career here and I’m looking forward to working with and supporting the fantastic team we have across the islands. I’m keen to contribute to the firm’s continued success and to work with our clients as they navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead, particularly when it comes to the implementation of Pillar 2.”
