Areas of focus

Scott is the EY Americas Leader for Quantitative Services and the National Tax Accounting Periods, Methods & Credits Leader. With more than 20 years of experience, he is passionate about developing people and driving value through complex problem solving.

Prior to joining EY, Scott served in the US Treasury Department’s Office of Tax Policy, as a Taxation Specialist. In addition to leading the finalization of the tangible property regulations and several industry-specific capitalization safe harbors, he was also responsible for developing and reviewing regulations and other published guidance in a myriad of federal tax areas. Scott was the lead tax policy advisor on legislative and regulatory matters for accounting methods (including income recognition, expense recognition, depreciation and expensing), accounting periods, the alternative minimum tax and loss provisions, among others.
