EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ Asia-Pacific Class of 2025
Founder, Eighty Days Inc., Japan

Nanami Granger is the Founder of Eighty Days, a Tokyo-based travel enterprise. Eighty Days offers tailored luxury tours that connect travelers with local communities. The company was founded in 2016, and has a footprint in the US, the UK, Singapore, and France.

Nanami studied business administration in Japan and the US. During her studies, she was introduced to the concept of social business, particularly after Dr. Muhammad Yunus received the Nobel Peace Prize. Her academic focus was on destinations recovering from natural disasters. Nanami's career began at a major brokerage firm, followed by roles in the US and Japan as a management consultant. Inspired by the effects of population decline on Japanese landscapes, she went on to establish Eighty Days.

Eighty Days was awarded first prize in the 2016 Yunus and You Social Business Design Contest. In 2017, the company received certification as a Yunus Social Business Company, and in 2020, it became a certified Travelife partner. Nanami aims to increase the company's revenue to 5 billion yen within three years and 10 billion yen within five years. To achieve this ambitious goal, the company has developed two strategies that encourage collaboration with local artisans and offer branded tours in the B2C market.

Eighty Days' vision is a world where tourism fosters positive transformation for both distant travelers and the local hosts. The company’s goal is to cultivate tourism in Japan's underprivileged areas, boosting economic growth and encouraging cultural and intellectual exchanges.
