Implementer of innovative strategies that have transformed the operations and improved productivity at EY. Strong advocate of Diversity and Inclusiveness programs.

As EY Regional Chief Operating Officer, Mori oversees the operations and helps implement initiatives that have supported the transformation of the Japan services.

With over 21 years of experience at EY, Mori serves various companies as an audit professional. Prior to his current role, he was the Americas Japanese Business Service Director, leading teams that provided holistic professional services to Japanese companies operating in North, South and Latin American countries.

He is a member of various global committees and is a board member of EY Transaction Advisory Services and EY Advisory and Consulting in Japan.

Mori is also the sponsor of the LGBT employee group for Japan and was recognized as one of the Leading 100 LGBT+ Executives by OUTstanding and the Financial Times in 2017.

Mori has earned an MBA in Accounting from the San Francisco State University – College of Business.

How Moriaki is building a better working world

Mori advocates promoting programs for advancing diversity and inclusion at EY, including women, parents, professionals with elderly care responsibilities and LGBT professionals in Japan. He also actively participates as a mentor for university students in the Asia-Pacific Area, including Japan, and offers support and advice.
