EU’s Entry and Exit System launch date delayed until late 2023

The launch of the European Union’s (EU) Entry and Exit System (EES) was recently postponed until late 2023. The new technology platform, designed to more effectively regulate non-EU nationals’ entry into and exit from the Schengen Area, was initially expected to go into effect in late 2022 and then delayed until May 2023.
