White House proclamation announces new travel restrictions
On 4 June 2025, President Donald Trump issued a proclamation announcing new restrictions on certain foreign nationals entering the United States. The travel restrictions will fully or partially limit visa issuance and entry to the United States for nationals from several counties based on “identity-management or information-sharing inadequacies” of those governments. The new travel restrictions are scheduled to take effect on 9 June 2025 at 12:01 am eastern daylight time.
