Chin Wei Jia has spent more than two decades guiding HMI Medical through transformation, growth and continual reinvention. She joined the organization in 2002, after the Asian financial crisis, gaining firsthand experience in rebuilding a healthcare business during corporate restructuring. Those early lessons shaped her leadership style, grounded in HMI’s 3C values of compassion, competence and collaboration, to deliver the best possible quality, service and value to patients, customers and communities.
Today, Wei Jia plays a central role in advancing the ambitions of the private healthcare provider that serves the growing Southeast Asia region. The company operates across the full healthcare value chain — from primary care, telemedicine and diagnostics to ambulatory and specialty services, tertiary care, medical training and corporate health administration — supporting more than 3 million patient visits a year, 400 doctors and 2,500 team members.
Wei Jia’s collaborative approach has helped launch market-first services, turn around challenging operations and build comprehensive ambulatory and specialist centers that offer personalized, cost-effective care. She has also led major health tech integration initiatives that extend access beyond HMI’s own facilities through a regional network of medical and wellness partners.
Driven by a commitment to better health outcomes, Wei Jia continues to champion innovations that strengthen communities and create lasting impact for future generations.
