Building India’s electronics manufacturing backbone
A second-generation entrepreneur, Mr. Sunil Vachani brings over three decades of experience in India’s electronic manufacturing services (EMS) industry, having set up Dixon Technologies in 1993.
From supplying to a single customer, Goldstar (LG Electronics), he has grown the company into India’s largest home-grown contract electronics manufacturer. As a leading name in a sector that is a focus growth area for the Indian government as well, the company powers over 100 clients with global brands in smartphones, LED lighting and telecom hardware.
With a sharp scale-up in the mobile and EMS segments along with acquisition-led increase in smartphone volumes, the company reported INR38,860 crore in revenue in FY25.
Integrating capacity and innovation, Mr. Vachani has expanded manufacturing facilities to 24 and R&D centers to six, spread across India and China. With an eye on new growth segments, Mr. Vachani is focusing on product innovation in energy efficient designs, higher-margin components, IoT, AI platforms and smart automation.
He has also broadened the portfolio through a series of focused initiatives and partnerships in the fast-growing segments of smartphones, camera and fingerprint modules, AC controller boards, Bluetooth audio, and more. More recently, the company has further strengthened its display ecosystem in LCD and TFTLCD display modules manufacturing.
Equally committed to sustainable growth, he continues to drive several initiatives to support education, use of renewable energy and water management.
From building scale to shaping strategic depth, Mr. Sunil Vachani continues to define a compelling roadmap for India’s electronic manufacturing-led growth story.
