New Delhi, 10 July 2025: As Artificial intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) continue to disrupt job roles, EY has launched AI Academy, to support enterprises in upskilling their talent. The initiative focuses on building critical AI skills and capabilities needed in an AI-driven business landscape.

The program offers structured, hands-on learning paths curated by leading AI experts, covering foundational AI concepts to advanced GenAI applications, including real-world use cases tailored to specific industries. It offers an unparalleled value proposition by leveraging over 200+ real-world AI use cases to provide practical, impactful learning experiences. The curriculum is customized to client needs, leveraging project-based learning and AI-enabled technology for an immersive experience.

After upskilling 44,000 employees internally, EY India is now taking this expertise to the industry working with enterprises in Telecom, Infrastructure, Banking, IT/ITeS, and FMCG to help build AI capabilities through tailored programs and sector-specific use cases.

AI Academy training module is designed to drive tangible business outcomes using AI. These include increasing revenue, reducing operational costs, enhancing customer experience, and minimizing risks. A pilot conducted across 5 enterprises has already led to the initiation of over 50 AI projects and the development of leadership AI manifestos to steer adoption.

Sharing his views, Anurag Malik, Partner and Leader - People Consulting Services, EY India, said, “As GenAI continues to reshape the world of work and has potential to transform 38 million jobs by 2030, the need to invest in people has never been more critical. AI Academy is our commitment to empowering both organizations and their people. At a time when 97% of enterprises cite the lack of talent as a key barrier, AI Academy offers role-specific training designed to identify and implement AI use cases that deliver real business impact—be it revenue growth, cost efficiency, enhanced customer experience, or risk mitigation. By enabling learning at every level, from operational teams to leadership, we are supporting organizations to cultivate a culture of innovation, adaptability, and growth.”

The program focuses on demystifying GenAI, combining foundational learning with practical applications tailored to business needs. It supports employees at all levels—from operational teams to senior decision-makers—enabling them to understand, adopt, and apply AI in their day-to-day work.

  • AI Ambassadors: A focused two-day workshop aimed at helping organizational leaders develop an AI manifesto that aligns AI initiatives with business objectives.
  • AI Transformation Champions: Role-specific training centered on identifying and executing AI use cases that drive projects aligned with the AI manifesto, targeting revenue growth, cost efficiency, customer experience, and risk mitigation.
  • AI Aspirants: Designed for a broad audience, this module covers the fundamentals of AI, including prompting techniques to boost productivity across various roles.
  • AI Development & Implementation Specialists: Deep skilling programs for technical roles such as data scientists, data engineers and gen AI engineers.

This initiative is part of EY’s broader efforts of building a future-ready talent ecosystem. At the academic level, EY is engaging with the next generation of innovators through Techathon—a nationwide competition that challenges college students to solve real-world problems using AI and emerging technologies.
