India–UK CETA: Key opportunities for businesses

We are pleased to share insights on the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), a landmark agreement expected to significantly strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The Agreement provides substantial market access benefits, with 99% of Indian exports by value expected to gain duty-free access to the UK, while India will progressively reduce tariffs on 90% of tariff lines, covering 92% of UK imports, over a period of up to 10 years.

Businesses should evaluate the impact of CETA on their operations, including tariff benefits, product-specific concessions, Rules of Origin, certification requirements, and supply chain strategies, to unlock potential opportunities and enhance competitiveness.
