Michèle Sioen is CEO of Sioen Industries, a global leader in technical textile and fine chemical production. With an extensive portfolio of products and activities, its technical textiles, garments and color solutions can be found in the transportation, automotive, agriculture, utilities, energy, emergency services, construction, civil engineering and maritime sectors. 

Sioen has the entire production process under one roof — from weaving and coating of technical textiles, to the manufacturing of professional protective clothing. 

Rapidly growing, Sioen employs over 6,000 people in more than 20 countries across the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, and insists that employees are key to the success of the business. From Michèle’s vantage point, their contributions transcend borders, connect people and strengthen communities. 

A global business leader based in Belgium, Michèle is a member of the board of directors of various entities and organizations, including D'Ieteren Group, Sofina, Immobel and the Vlerick Business School, and she is Honorary Chairwoman of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises. Committed to art and culture, Michele serves as Chair of KANAL and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
