In 2024, the Indian M&E sector grew by INR81 billion, reaching INR2.5 trillion (US$29.4 billion). With 2.8 million media professionals creating over 200,000 hours of content annually, Indian content studios are at the forefront of the global creative economy. Global media majors have established operations in India—investing in B2C initiatives to tap into the country's digital growth and rising affluence, while also leveraging India as a hub for global operations and technology development.
