Jakson Green- Renewable Energy

Jakson Green secures marquee partnership with Blueleaf Energy worth US$ 400 million

EY acted as the exclusive sell-side investment banker to Jakson Green in one of the largest greenfield solar utility transactions in the past two years.

EY successfully advised Jakson Green on its strategic partnership with Blueleaf Energy (Macquarie Asset Management) for the development of a 1 GW ready-to-build solar portfolio worth US$ 400 million. This collaboration will also drive the joint development of an additional 4 GW of green energy projects in India.

Jakson Green, a leading new energy transition platform backed by the Jakson Group, has a solar EPC portfolio exceeding 5 GWp, 4 GWp of renewable O&M, and over 1 GWp of assets under development. The company is also building an 8,500 TPA green molecule production capacity.

Blueleaf Energy, a pan-Asian renewable energy platform owned by Macquarie Asset Management, specializes in developing, financing, and operating renewable assets to accelerate the transition to net zero.

EY was the exclusive M&A investment banker for this transaction. The unique transaction structure generated significant interest among global investors. India remains the top choice for global energy developers and investors. Deal sizes are increasing, and risk-adjusted returns remain stable. This transaction reinforces EY’s market-leading position in raising growth capital for energy transition assets in India.
