New Delhi, 18 August 2025 – EY India today announced the appointment of Gaurav Bhalotia as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Gaurav will lead EY India’s innovation and technology strategy, working closely with client service and product teams to enhance and expand the firm’s software-driven solutions (“digital assets”).

Gaurav’s appointment comes at a time when EY India is rapidly expanding its AI-powered, technology-led business solutions to help clients navigate a fast-evolving digital landscape. The firm’s Technology practice has recorded significant growth in recent years, with plans to further scale its AI, data, and digital transformation capabilities.

EY India has over 20,000 professionals working on technology integrated consulting solutions across its service lines. Over the past five years, the firm has developed a suite of technology-led solutions for supply chain optimization, financial reporting, tax compliance, risk management, contract management and more. The firm is actively integrating AI and GenAI to help clients enhance productivity and operational efficiency by using these state of the art solutions.

“I’m excited to join EY India at a time when frontier technologies like AI are reshaping value creation across industries. I look forward to helping build intelligent, scalable platforms and to driving technology-led innovation that will power the next phase of EY growth,” said Gaurav Bhalotia, Chief Technology Officer, EY India.

Commenting on the appointment, Prashant Singhal, India Markets Leader, EY India, said, "Technology is at the heart of how businesses are evolving today, and it’s also central to how we’re shaping the future of our firm. We’re investing heavily in talent and innovation to stay ahead of the curve, and Gaurav’s experience and leadership will be key as we build smarter, faster and more impactful solutions for our clients. We are excited to have him on board as we continue on this journey."

Gaurav brings over two decades of experience in technology leadership, large-scale systems, machine learning, and product strategy. Before joining EY India, he served as the CTO of Udaan, a B2B e-commerce platform, where he led product, engineering, data science, design, and infrastructure, building a robust technology backbone that enabled rapid scaling. Previously, as Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, he played a key role in shaping the company’s early technology landscape, including customer platforms and product stacks for discovery, web, and merchandising.

Gaurav also founded FindMyHealth, a personalized wellness platform, and has been an advisor and angel investor to several early-stage startups. He began his career in the US with Oracle after completing his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California. He also holds a BTech from IIT Bombay.

Additionally, EY India has upskilled its over 45,000 professionals in AI through its in-house skilling program, AI Academy — now extended to clients — with more than 1.5 million learning hours and 18,600 AI certifications completed.
