Doug is a Partner within Insurance Consulting at Ernst & Young LLP. He leads the UK Insurance Transformation team and EMEIA FSO Insurance Strategic Cost Transformation solution.

He has over 15 years of experience leading programs in more than 20 countries to transform distribution, underwriting, claims and operations functions in commercial and specialty (re)insurers and brokers.

Doug has also led many efforts to drive cost efficiency and simplification in firms across the insurance market.

As a member of our Global Captives practice, Doug has advised multinationals, including energy, life sciences and construction firms, on their risk management approaches and captive operating models. Doug is passionate about the role of digitization in modernizing the insurance industry. He was a founding member and leader of an EY startup digital insurtech platform for trading multinational marine insurance.

He holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Durham.
